Our Impact

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we live on the traditional territories of the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe peoples.

We acknowledge that the knowledge we have of the land, and medicinal plants wouldn’t exist without the ancient knowledge of Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge that we benefit from the cultural knowledge that the Canadian government tried to brutally and violently erase, we acknowledge that we benefit from the culture knowledge of the land that was illegal for Indigenous people of Turtle island to practice.

Buttercake is committed to truth, reconciliation and to healing.

For every Buttercake Bath and Body Product that is purchased a portion of the sales will be donated to the “Indian Residential Survivors Society”

Care For All

At Buttercake we are passionate about self-care and we know that self-care is not accessible for everyone, especially when basic health and mental health needs so often go unmet. As part of our anti-racism mandate we are donating a portion of sales from our Buttercake products to Women's Health in Women's Hands
